Its homeowners' association was incorporated in 2000, and the community has no community development district. The semi-private Plantation Palms Golf Club is a par-72 course designed by David Harman, with a lighted driving range, mini golf and a clubhouse restaurant; residents also have a community pool and tennis courts.
