SouthWood is a 3,200-acre master-planned community in southeast Tallahassee with single-family homes, townhomes and apartments, more than 1,000 acres of green space, and a town center with shops and restaurants. Its residential community association was incorporated in 2000 and bills a master assessment quarterly. Residents use the community center, pool, tennis courts, playground and trails, and a golf course runs through the community.
